Metro YMCAs and Veritext Partnership Brings ‘Work from Home’ Career Opportunity to Job Seekers

LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is partnering with Veritext Legal Solutions, the leader in deposition and litigation support solutions, to introduce Digital Reporting – a new, in-demand career path with remote opportunities – to its community.

A Digital Reporter is a trained officiant who captures the record of testimony in legal proceedings using a high-quality digital audio system. Digital Reporters play a critical role in the deposition process and ensure the legitimacy of the record by officiating the proceeding, swearing in the witness, capturing verbatim testimony, marking exhibits, and performing immediate playbacks. Digital Reporting is a great career path for tech-savvy individuals interested in the legal system, and desire both a flexible work schedule and the option to work from home.

As litigation continues to rise nationwide, and the technology used to capture testimony evolves, there is a tremendous need for Digital Reporters who can take remote and in-person assignments.

Interested candidates can apply to the Veritext Partner Program, which introduces the profession of Digital Reporting through practical and hands-on exposure, as well as ongoing support. Qualified participants can complete the program in approximately two weeks and then begin work as an independent contractor. At this point a Digital Reporter can accept full and/or part time assignments and work from home or in-person.

“We are so excited to be able to offer this career opportunity to job seekers in the community,” states Nancy Josephs, CEO of Veritext Legal Solutions and a member of the Metro YMCAs Board of Directors. “The need for Digital Reporters is growing rapidly and those who become DR’s will be in high-demand.”

Additionally, for each friend and family member of The Y who becomes a Digital Reporter through the Veritext Partner Program, Veritext will make a donation to the YMCA of the Oranges.
