1. Hire Someone Who Knows Your Business

“It’s important that your bookkeeper understands your business. Dealing with multiple vendors, especially in the tech space, can be confusing if you’re trying to get a clear picture of where your money is going on a monthly basis. “Look for someone who has a systematic way of handling your company bookkeeping, because this is a task that needs to be done monthly and you need visibility into your numbers regularly. If your bookkeeper can send you regular management reports on how your finances are doing each month, you’ll have the information you need to make the best decisions.
